Nakiri knives have a straighter edge than a santoku or chef knife, and this sheath accounts for that. XC01 fits nakiri blades in the 17-18 cm range, with a channel that follows the flat profile from heel to the square tip without lifting at either end. Ash wood won't warp or bind in a humid kitchen environment, and the blade seats cleanly every time. It's the kind of thing you'll stop noticing because it just works.
